News: 2 women injured in rear-end collision on I-29 in Clay County

CLAY COUNTY, MO – Two women were injured when their vehicle was involved in a collision in Clay County on Monday afternoon.

 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report said that troopers responded to the scene on southbound Interstate 29 at North Oak Trafficway.

 

According to the MSHP, the driver of a 2024 Tesla slowed down for traffic at about 2:25 p.m. and was struck from behind by a 2008 Chevrolet HHR.

 

Two occupants of the Tesla, a 64-year-old woman and a 49-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries. Both are residents of Kansas City, Missouri. The two were transported by the Kansas City Fire Department to Saint Luke’s North Hospital–Barry Road.
