KANSAS CITY, MO – An accident involving a dump truck left one person injured and disrupted traffic in Kansas City on Friday afternoon.
According to WDAF, the dump truck collided with a car in the northbound lanes of U.S. 71 Highway at 19th Street at about 2:20 p.m.
The victim was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. The accident shut down 71 Highway for about two hours.
Police are trying to determine what led to the wreck.
