CASS COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a two-vehicle wreck in Cass County on Saturday.
According to the MSHP’s accident report, the incident took place on Missouri 2 at South Kauffman Road east of Harrisonville at about 5:40 p.m.
State troopers determined that the driver of a 2019 Ram 1500 was heading northbound and failed to yield to a westbound 2016 Ford Fusion at the intersection. The Ford struck the right side of the Ram.
The driver of the Ford, a 27-year-old man from Holden, Missouri, and a passenger in the Ram, a 30-year-old man from Harrisonville, Missouri, were seriously injured and taken to Research Medical Center. The driver of the Ram, a 31-year-old man from Archie, Missouri, sustained minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.
None of the three were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident, state troopers said.
