SALINE COUNTY, MO – Two people were hospitalized after their vehicle was involved in a crash in Saline County on Sunday afternoon, state troopers said.

According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 47-year-old Fredi Casiano Calleja was driving a 2007 GMC on Interstate 70 east at mile marker 83 when the accident occurred at about 1:55 p.m.

Troopers said the vehicle lost a wheel, causing it to travel off the road, strike a guardrail and overturn before hitting a tree.
