KANSAS CITY, MO – A collision linked to street racing left two people dead in Kansas City on Monday morning, authorities said.
WDAF reports the crash took place in the area of Carondolet Drive and Wornall Road shortly before 10:30 a.m.
Police said the drivers of a black Chrysler 300 and a silver Dodge Charger were street racing southbound on Wornall from 99th Street. The Chrysler then crashed into a Honda HRV that was turning left from Wornall Road onto Carondolet Drive.
The driver and the passenger of the Honda died at the scene, while the Chrysler driver sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.
