GRANDVIEW, MO – One driver was killed, and another injured in a collision on Interstate 49 in Grandview early Tuesday morning, KCTV reports.
Police said the driver of a semi-truck lost control of the vehicle near the 140th Street exit shortly before 1 a.m. and crossed over into the northbound lanes of I-49. The semi collided with a vehicle headed northbound on the interstate.
Both drivers were transported to an area hospital. The driver of the second vehicle, 26-year-old Markel Heard of Kansas City, was pronounced dead. The semi driver, a 45-year-old man, was critically injured.
