DEEPWATER, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol said one person was killed and three others injured when their pickup truck crashed in Henry County last week.
According to the MSHP crash report, a 2021 Dodge Ram was going north on Missouri 13 near Missouri 52 near Deepwater Wednesday at about 1:15 p.m. when the driver lost control on wet pavement. The pickup went off the roadway and overturned.
Two of the occupants were ejected. One passenger, 21-year-old Simone Y. Johnson of Kansas City, Missouri, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, 34-year-old Ramone Wooten of Kansas City, and two other passengers were taken to Belton Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. No one in the vehicle was wearing seat belts, troopers said.
