News: 1 dead, 2 injured in collision on Southwest Trafficway

KANSAS CITY, MO – One person was killed and two others injured in a car accident in Kansas City early Friday morning, reports KSHB.

 

The collision occurred in the area of West 39th Street and Southwest Trafficway in the Westport neighborhood at about 1:45 a.m.

 

Police said a northbound Ford SUV crashed into a Buick sedan that was headed east.  A 26-year-old woman who was a passenger in the Buick was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

The two drivers were both hospitalized with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
