KANSAS CITY, MO -An accident in south Kansas City on Thursday night left a motorcycle rider critically injured, reports the Kansas City Star.
A police investigation determined that the operator of a Harley Davidson Soft Tail motorcycle was taking the ramp from eastbound Interstate 435 to U.S. 71 Highway in the Three Trails Crossing when the incident took place at about 9 p.m.
The motorcyclist took the ramp while traveling at high speed, failed to negotiate a curve, and lost control of the bike. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries. No details were released on the victim’s identity.
The crash remains under investigation by the Kansas City Police Department.
