News: Collision in Kansas City leaves pedestrian critically injured

KANSAS CITY, MO – A collision in Kansas City on Tuesday night left a pedestrian critically injured, according to a KCTV report.

 

Police responded to the area of Linwood Boulevard and Main Street after the incident was reported at about 9:10 p.m.

 

A preliminary investigation by the Kansas City Police Department revealed that a pedestrian was walking across the street outside of a marked crosswalk.  A four-door sedan, which had the green light, then struck the pedestrian who hit the windshield and landed on the hood of the car.

 

The victim was taken to an area hospital and was listed in critical condition.

 

Police are continuing their investigation into the cause of the accident.
