KANSAS CITY, MO – Kansas City police said a man has died from injuries suffered in a hit-and-run incident that occurred earlier this month, the Kansas City Star reports.
The victim of the Dec. 10 collision was identified as 46-year-old Philip Castleberry.
Police said he was crossing from west to east on Troost Avenue near 82nd Terrace at about 6:30 p.m. when he was hit by a vehicle headed north on Troost Avenue, and the driver then left the scene. Castleberry was pronounced dead Saturday at Research Medical Center.
The vehicle being sought by police is a 2009 to 2012 gray or dark gray Nissan Altima with a temp tag. The Altima has front passenger windshield damage and the passenger door pillar may be damaged. The vehicle may have aftermarket headlights.
