LONE JACK, MO – State troopers said a collision in Lone Jack claimed the life of an elderly passenger, WDAF reported.
Three cars were involved in the wreck that took place Saturday night in the area of 50 Highway and Route F shortly before 7:45 p.m.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s investigation found that the driver of a 1997 Chevrolet Silverado crossed the westbound lanes of 50 Highway and entered the path of a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado, resulting in a collision.
The Silverado then slid and crashed into a Ford F-150. A passenger in the 1997 Silverado, an 85-year-old Oak Grove man, was killed in the wreck.
Two other people were seriously injured, a 54-year-old man who was a passenger in the 1997 Silverado, and a 66-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the 2002 Silverado. The driver of the 2002 Silverado sustained minor injuries. The other two drivers were not hurt.
