JACKSON COUNTY, MO – A woman was injured in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 50 Highway in Jackson County on Saturday morning, state troopers said.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s report, the accident occurred in the area of Route D at about 11:30 a.m.
A 2025 Ford Escape was traveling eastbound on U.S. 50 while a 2005 Ford F-250 was going north on Route D. The driver of the F-250 pulled into the path of the Escape, and the vehicles collided in the right lane. The Escape overturned and came to rest blocking the lanes of the roadway.
A passenger in the Escape, a 73-year-old woman from Kearney, Missouri, was seriously injured and airlifted to University of Missouri Hospital. She was wearing her seat belt at the time of the wreck.
