LIBERTY, MO – Authorities responded to the scene of a semi-truck crash that disrupted traffic in a portion of Clay County on Thursday morning.
According to KSHB, a semi crashed on Interstate 35 at U.S. 69 in Liberty at about 9:30 a.m.. spilling a load of potatoes onto the roadway along with some fuel.
The incident shut down the southbound lanes of I-35 for several hours before it was reported to have reopened at about 1:30 p.m. Traffic was diverted and drivers were advised to seek alternate routes while the scene was being cleaned up.
No one was seriously injured in the incident.
