News: Pedestrian struck, killed by vehicle while crossing East 63rd Street

KANSAS CITY, MO – Police and paramedics responded to a fatal pedestrian accident in south Kansas City last week, the Kansas City Star reports.

 

The incident happened Dec. 3 in the area of East 63rd Street and Swope Parkway near the Kansas City Public Library, where officers arrived shortly before 11 p.m.

 

Investigators determined that a pedestrian was walking across East 63rd Street from north to south and was struck by a westbound Chevrolet Tahoe. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

The Chevrolet driver stopped after the crash, stayed at the scene, and cooperated with investigators.
