KANSAS CITY, MO – The Kansas City Police Department is investigating a motorcycle accident that left two people injured on Friday morning, the Kansas City Star reports.
The collision, involving a Honda Gold Wing motorcycle and a Ford Fusion, occurred on northbound U.S. 71 Highway/Bruce R. Watkins Drive at about 7:50 a.m. According to a preliminary investigation by police, the Ford was stopped in rush-hour traffic near East 19th Street when it was struck from behind by the northbound motorcycle.
The motorcycle driver and a passenger were seriously injured and transported to an area hospital. The Ford driver was not injured.
