News: Motorcyclist killed in Christmas morning accident in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO – A collision near downtown Kansas City early Christmas morning claimed the life of a motorcycle rider, according to KSHB.

 

The rider crashed in the area of West Pennway Street and West 26th Street, where police responded at about 4:10 a.m.

 

Police said their initial investigation indicated that the operator of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was going south on West Pennway Street and was unable to negotiate a curve in the roadway.  The bike slammed into a light pole.

 

The rider, whose name was not immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

Kansas City police are investigating the circumstances that led to the fatal wreck.
