KANSAS CITY, MO – A motorcycle rider was critically injured in a high-speed accident in Kansas City, Missouri on Monday night, reports KCTV.
Police were called to 71 Highway near East 59th Street after the incident took place at about 9 p.m.
According to a preliminary investigation, a motorcycle rider heading north on the highway was weaving in and out of traffic at excessive rates of speed. The rider, whose identity was not disclosed, eventually lost control of the motorcycle and crashed.
The individual was taken to an area hospital and was listed in critical condition. Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
