News: Motorcyclist critically injured in collision with car in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO – Police in Kansas City are investigating a hit-and-run crash Sunday night that left a motorcycle rider critically injured.

According to KMBC, police responded to the scene of the collision in the area of Paseo Boulevard and Armor Road. Investigators said the driver of a nothbound Ford Focus was making a U-turn in the roadway when the vehicle was struck by a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle going at high speed.

The motorcycle rider, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike and was reported to be in critical condition.

Police say the driver of the Ford left the scene headed south on Paseo Boulevard. When the driver could not continue driving the damaged vehicle, police said the driver and another man pushed the vehicle into a driveway and the driver left the area on foot.
