News: Kansas City man, 75, killed in collision on MO-291

CASS COUNTY, MO – State troopers said one driver was killed and another injured in a crash in Cass County on Wednesday night.

 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the incident occurred on northbound MO-291 at the MO-58 south junction at about 8:25 p.m.

 

An investigation determined that the driver of a Dodge was going west on the MO-58 and failed to stop at a stop sign. The Dodge entered the path of a northbound Mercedes-Benz and was struck on the driver’s side.

 

The Dodge driver, 75-year-old Ribhi Elghussain of Kansas City, was taken to Belton Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead. The driver of the Mercedes, a 51-year-old woman from Lee’s Summit, was hospitalized with minor injuries.
