CLAY COUNTY, MO – A head-on collision between two vehicles in Clay County on Saturday morning left two people dead, according to a Fox4KC report.

The incident took place on Missouri 210 Highway west of Bluff Road near Missouri City.  The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s initial investigation found that the driver of a Chevrolet Malibu was heading eastbound shortly before 5:45 a.m. and crossed over the center line.  The Malibu collided with a Ford F-150 that was going westbound.  The Malibu went off the left side of the roadway while the Ford went off the right side.

A passenger in the Ford, a 60-year-old man, died at the scene.  The Ford driver, a 62-year-old man, was pronounced dead after being taken to North Kansas City Hospital.  Both victims were from Missouri City, Missouri.

The driver of the Malibu, an 18-year-old woman from Excelsior Springs, Missouri, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to North Kansas City Hospital.  State troopers said she was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash, but the two men in the Ford were not.
