CASS COUNTY, MO – A driver was transported to the hospital after a vehicle crash in Cass County on Tuesday afternoon, Missouri state troopers said.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s accident report, the incident happened on Prospect Avenue south of E. 231st Street at about 3:30 p.m.
The MSHP stated that the driver of a 2024 Kawasaki Ridge was traveling southbound when the vehicle began to skid, went off the right side of the roadway, and crashed into a tree.
The driver, a 43-year-old man from Cleveland, Missouri, was seriously injured. He was transported by Belton Fire and EMS to Overland Park Regional Medical Center. The man was not wearing a safety device at the time of the collision.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Department was at the scene assisting the MSHP. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene.
