KANSAS CITY, MO – Kansas City police were called to a hit-and-run incident early Sunday morning at the intersection of Jackson Avenue and East 24th Street, Fox4KC reported.
According to police, the driver of a Dodge 1500 pickup truck was making a turn from Jackson Avenue onto East 24th Street at about 2:15 a.m. At that point, the driver of a southbound sedan attempted to pass the Dodge and the vehicles collided. The sedan then was reported to have ‘wrapped around’ a utility pole. The driver and rear passengers in the sedan were critically injured but were listed in stable condition at the hospital. The exact number of injured victims was not disclosed.
The driver of the Dodge left the scene after the accident and kept going eastbound, police said. No further information was released regarding the vehicle or the driver.
