KANSAS CITY, MO – Police said a driver was seriously injured in a car accident in Kansas City early Thursday morning.
According to WDAF, a man was driving a Ford Mustang northwest at high speed on Missouri 350 when he lost control of the car at about 4 a.m.
The Mustang slid across three lanes of traffic and collided with a rock wall, causing the man to be ejected from the convertible that had its top down. The driver was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
He was not wearing a seat belt at the time, investigators said. No one else was in the car.
The highway was shut down for about two hours while police investigated the crash.
