News: Crash near Ford plant on U.S. 69 in Claycomo kills motorcycle rider

CLAYCOMO, MO – A man riding a motorcycle was killed in a collision with a car in Claycomo, according to Fox4KC.

 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol released details of the fatal wreck, which happened Thursday morning near a Ford plant on U.S. 69 near Grove Street.

 

The MSHP’s investigation determined that a car heading west on the highway was making a left turn into a parking lot shortly before 6 a.m. when it was struck by the motorcycle that was traveling eastbound.

 

The motorcyclist, a 35-year-old man from Blue Springs, was thrown from the bike and died at the scene.

 

Three lanes of 69 Highway were shut down while the MSHP investigated the crash.
