News: Collision sends vehicle crashing into Kansas City auto shop

KANSAS CITY, MO – A two-vehicle collision in Kansas City on Thursday caused one of the vehicles to crash into a building, according to the Kansas City Star.

The incident occurred at about 11:50 a.m. in the 4200 block of East 31st Street in the Knoches Park neighborhood.  One of the vehicles involved in the accident slammed into an automotive shop in the street corner.

Three people suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, and were transported to area hospitals.

Kansas City Fire Department crews were dispatched to remove the vehicle so that engineers could shore up the building, which sustained significant damage.  City inspectors were also called in to determine whether the building would need to be demolished.
