KANSAS CITY, MO – Kansas City police said they have located a suspect in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left a child critically injured.
WDAF reported that a person of interest was identified following the Wednesday night incident on North Hardesty Avenue.
According to investigators, a 9-year-old boy was walking with his father across North Hardesty near Saida Street at about 7:15 p.m. when he was struck by a black sedan. The boy was taken to an area hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition Thursday morning.
The driver involved fled the scene without stopping to help. Detectives were reported to be pursuing charges in the case amid an ongoing investigation.
