BENTON COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol said two drivers were injured when their vehicles collided in Benton County on Sunday afternoon.

The incident took place on Route T west of Quail Run Road, according to the MSHP’s crash report. State troopers learned that the driver of a 1996 Toyota Camry was heading eastbound at about 4:30 p.m. when the vehicle entered the westbound lane and struck a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500.

The driver of the Toyota, a 60-year-old man from Lowry City, Missouri, was seriously injured and was flown to University Hospital for treatment. The Dodge driver, a 57-year-old man from Warsaw, Missouri, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital.

The Dodge driver was wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident, the MSHP said, but it was not known whether the Toyota driver was wearing a seat belt.
