KANSAS CITY, MO – A collision in Kansas City, Missouri on Saturday afternoon left a young boy critically injured.
According to Fox4KC, the 10-year-old victim was riding a scooter on East Windsor Avenue when the crash took place at about 1 p.m. Police said the child failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by an SUV that was headed northbound on North Jackson Avenue.
The scooter rider was rushed to an area hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
The SUV driver stayed at the scene and was reported to be cooperating with the investigation, which is ongoing.
