News: 1-year-old critically injured when vehicles collide in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO – Police said a collision in Kansas City Friday evening left an infant critically injured, according to WDAF.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash that happened at East 70th Street and Walrond Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. An investigation determined that the driver of a GMC Yukon was going east on E. 70th Street and disregarded a stop sign at the intersection.

The Yukon was hit by a northbound Ford Transit van and overturned. A 1-year-old in one of the vehicles was hospitalized in critical condition. Three teenagers who were riding in the Yukon sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, and they were listed in stable condition at an area hospital. The two drivers were not injured in the wreck.
