News: 1 teenager killed, 4 others injured when SUV runs off roadway in Johnson County

JOHNSON COUNTY, MO – One teenager was killed, and four others were injured in a single-vehicle crash in Johnson County, Missouri on Wednesday night.

 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver of a 2020 Ford Expedition SUV was driving eastbound on Northeast 650 Road at about 8:15 p.m. when she lost control of the vehicle east of Northeast 301 Road.

 

The Ford began sliding off the center line of the roadway, ran off the left side of the road, struck a ditch and then began to overturn.

 

One passenger, a 17-year-old boy, was pronounced dead after being taken to Truman Medical Center. Another passenger, a 13-year-old boy, suffered moderate injuries while the other two passengers, girls ages 18 and 16, sustained minor injuries. The injured were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment. All of the occupants of the vehicle were from Knob Noster, Missouri.
