KANSAS CITY, MO – Police are investigating a collision in Kansas City on Saturday night that left a motorcyclist critically injured.
Fox 4 KC reported details of the incident, which occurred shortly after 10 p.m. in the vicinity of Broadway Boulevard and West 19th Street.
According to the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department, the driver of a Toyota RAV4 was heading west on 19th Street and entered the intersection from a stop sign. The Toyota was then struck by a Harley Davidson Livewire electric motorcycle that had been traveling north on Broadway Boulevard.
The motorcycle rider was ejected from the bike and was transported to an area hospital, where they were listed in critical condition. The driver of the Toyota and a front seat passenger were not injured.
Police said their investigation of the accident includes suspected impairment on the part of the Toyota driver.
