KANSAS CITY, MO – Kansas City police are investigating a deadly pickup truck wreck that occurred Wednesday morning on U.S. 71, according to the Kansas City Star.

Preliminary details indicated that a man was driving a Chevrolet Silverado northbound from Bannister Road near the Rockridge Quarry when the crash happened at about 11:45 a.m.

The pickup went off the roadway and entered a grassy median near Hickman Mills Drive.  As the driver tried to regain control, the vehicle traveled down a concrete embankment, went airborne, and collided with a guardrail.  The Chevrolet flipped over and rolled to a stop.
