KANSAS CITY, MO – A motorcyclist was critically injured when his bike collided with a car in Kansas City on Saturday night, according to KCTV.
The crash, which involved a Yamaha Cross Country motorcycle and a Volvo G60, took place in the area of Armour Boulevard and Locust Street.
Police learned that the motorcycle rider was heading east on Armour Boulevard at high speed at about 5:12 p.m., at the same time the Volvo was turning left from Locust Street onto Armour. As the Volvo entered the intersection it was hit by the Yamaha, with the collision ejecting the motorcycle rider.
The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition. The driver of the Volvo and a passenger were not injured.
An investigation was being conducted by the Kansas City Police Department’s Accident Investigation Section, Driving Under the Influence Section and Traffic Enforcement Unit.
