News: Man dies of injuries after being struck by car on I-70 in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO – Kansas City, Missouri police said a pedestrian struck by a vehicle last month has died of his injuries, according to the Kansas City Star.

 

The collision occurred Feb. 23 on Interstate 70 at Sterling Avenue at about 3 a.m.  Investigators said the pedestrian was walking in the middle eastbound lane of the interstate when he was struck by an eastbound Honda Civic.

 

The victim was taken to CenterPoint Medical Center in Independence in critical condition, and was pronounced dead on Tuesday night, March 4.  His identity has not yet been disclosed.

 

The Honda driver was not injured in the crash.  He stopped at the scene and cooperated with police.
