RAY COUNTY, MO – One driver was killed and another injured in a collision in Ray County on Saturday night, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred on Missouri 13 north of Route HH at about 9:30 p.m. State troopers said the driver of a northbound 2009 GMC Sierra crossed the center of the roadway and collided with a 2018 Ford Explorer. The Ford then crashed into the back of a 2002 Dodge Ram.
The driver of the Ford, a 62-year-old woman from Richmond, Missouri, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Ray County Coroner The Sierra driver, an 18-year-old woman from Polo, Missouri, was seriously injured and taken to North Kansas City Hospital for treatment. Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.
