News: Pedestrian struck, killed by SUV on Blue Ridge Cutoff in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO – Police were called to a fatal pedestrian collision in Kansas City on Friday night, KCTV reports.

 

The accident occurred in the 4600 block of Blue Ridge Cutoff near 46th Street, in the vicinity of the Harry S. Truman Sports Complex.  Officers arrived at about 7 p.m. and learned that a pedestrian had been struck by an SUV heading north from Raytown into Kansas City.   The pedestrian was either walking along the road or trying to cross the road when they were hit.  The victim, whose identity was not disclosed, was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

Police said the driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation.
