KANSAS CITY, MO – Kansas City police said an accident on Interstate 70 Tuesday night left a pedestrian critically injured.
According to the Kansas City Star, the victim was struck by a Honda Odyssey minivan on westbound I-70 near 27th Street. Investigators determined that the pedestrian was crossing the interstate as the minivan was switching lanes to enter the highway.
The pedestrian was struck and landed on the windshield of the vehicle. The driver came to the aid of the victim and notified police.
The pedestrian was hospitalized in critical condition. The driver of the Honda was not injured.
