PLATTE COUNTY, MO – A driver was injured when his truck crashed on a highway in Platte County on Tuesday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The MSHP’s crash log states that the accident happened on Interstate 29 northbound at the 18.8 mile marker at about 6:30 a.m.
State troopers said that a 2019 Freightliner went off the roadway and overturned in the median.
The driver, a 62-year-old man from Topeka, Kansas, was seriously injured and taken to North Kansas City Hospital for treatment. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck, state troopers said.
