PETTIS COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal collision that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Pettis County.
According to the MSHP’s accident report, the driver of a 2015 Toyota Camry was going south on U.S. 50 Highway when the crash happened at about 4:15 p.m. The Toyota driver entered the intersection with Missouri MM highway with a green light and was hit by a 2004 dump truck heading west.
Two occupants of the Toyota were killed, a 50-year-old man who was the driver, and a 48-year-old female passenger. Both were residents of Sedalia, Missouri. Both were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident. No other injuries were reported.
The Pettis County Sheriff’s Office assisted the MSHP at the scene.
