KANSAS CITY, MO – Kansas City police said that a man has died from injuries suffered in a crash that also claimed the life of his wife last month, according to Fox 4 KC.
74-year-old Steven Watters, the driver of the vehicle involved, was pronounced dead on Sunday at an area hospital. 66-year-old Ramona Watters, his passenger, died on the day of the Oct. 29 accident. It happened in the area of Linwood Boulevard and Broadway Boulevard.
An initial investigation determined that Steven Watters was driving a Dodge Journey south on Broadway Boulevard shortly after 12:15 p.m. when he suffered a possible medical emergency. The vehicle went through the intersection and ran off the roadway. The Dodge then struck a light pole and the Vietnam Memorial before going through some grass and crashing into the side of a VFW building.
