News: 4 injured, 1 critically, after police chase ends in crash in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO – A driver trying to elude law enforcement authorities was involved in a crash in Kansas City early Sunday morning, state troopers said.

A report by Fox 4 KC states that a trooper with the Missouri State Highway Patrol was pursuing the driver of a silver Infiniti G35 on Interstate 35 south for speeding and careless driving.

As the pursuit continued, the driver lost control shortly after midnight near the exit for NE Vivion Road, and crashed into an embankment.

The four people in the Infiniti were transported to an area hospital, where one of them was listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.  The MSHP is continuing to investigate the incident.
