KANSAS CITY, MO – A collision in Kansas City on Wednesday afternoon left two drivers injured, one critically, according to the Kansas City Star.
Two vehicles crashed in the area of Northeast Parvin Road and North Bennington Avenue near the Winnetonka neighborhood at about 3 p.m. The Kansas City Polce Department stated that the driver of a Toyota Matrix was heading north on North Bennington Avenue and stopped at the posted four-way stop sign before entering the intersection.
When the Toyota entered the intersection, it was struck by a Ford Fusion traveling east on Northeast Parvin Road at a very high rate of speed, police said. The Toyota driver was severely injured and taken to an area hospital in critical condition. The Ford driver was seriously injured and hospitalized in stable condition.
Two passengers in the Ford were not hurt in the wreck, which remains under investigation.
