JOHNSON COUNTY, MO – Three women were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Johnson County on Thursday evening.
The accident occurred on southbound Missouri 13 at YY Highway in Higginsville at about 4:40 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
State troopers said a 2011 GMC Yukon was stopped waiting to make a left hand turn and was struck from the back by a 2017 Ram 1500. Following the impact, the Yukon entered the northbound lane was hit by a 2010 Honda Insight.
The driver of the Yukon, 28-year-old Hailee Brown of Concordia, Missouri, and the driver of the Ram, 42-year-old Regina Harrelson of Warrensburg, Missouri, were taken to Western Missouri Medical Center with moderate injuries. The driver of the Honda, 55-year-old Lesley Asher of Odessa, Missouri, also had moderate injuries and was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center.
