News: Woman, 64, dies after crashing into bridge abutment in Pettis County

PETTIS COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol has released details of a fatal single-vehicle wreck that occurred in Pettis County on Monday evening.

 

According to the MSHP’s accident report, it happened on Walnut Grove Road north of Eckles Road at 7:07 p.m.

 

State troopers said the driver of a 2023 Nissan Rogue was heading south when she crossed the center of the roadway and ran off the left side of the road.  The left rear of the Nissan struck a bridge abutment and the vehicle came to rest in the roadway on its right side.

 

The driver, identified as 64-year-old Pamela J. Holbrook of Columbia, Missouri, was pronounced dead at the scene.  It was unclear whether she was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

 

The MSHP was assisted at the scene by the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department.
