News: Woman, 28, hospitalized following rollover crash on Interstate 29

PLATTE CITY, MO – The Platte County Sheriff’s Office said its deputies responded to an accident on Monday morning that left a woman hospitalized.

 

According to KMBC, the incident was a rollover crash and occurred at about 6:50 a.m. on northbound Interstate 29 near the 21 mile marker in Platte City.  The driver, a 28-year-old Savannah woman, was critically injured in the wreck.  No other vehicles were involved.

 

I-29 was shut down in the area while the scene was being cleared and investigated, and traffic was diverted to Missouri 371 Highway.

 

The Platte County Sheriff’s Office Crash Team is investigating the cause of the incident.
