KANSAS CITY, MO – A pedestrian died after being struck by a semi-truck in Kansas City last week, police said.
According to KCTV, the accident happened Wednesday night on a ramp from southbound Interstate 435 to eastbound Interstate 70. The driver of a Freightliner truck reported that the pedestrian crossed in front of the vehicle from the right side of the interstate at about 11:17 p.m.
The driver said he could not avoid the collision and struck the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not immediately released.
The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
