News: Rollover crash on Interstate 35 north sends driver to hospital

CLAY COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a rollover accident in Clay County on Tuesday night.

The MSHP’s crash report states that the wreck occurred at about 8:41 p.m. along Interstate 35 northbound at the 10.6-mile marker.

A preliminary investigation indicated that the driver of a 1998 Ford Explorer drove off the left side of the roadway, where the vehicle crashed into the guardrail and overturned.

The motorist, a 60-year-old woman from Kansas City, Missouri, suffered moderate injuries in the crash. She was transported by first responders to North Kansas City Hospital for treatment. The woman was wearing a seat belt at the time the accident happened, state troopers said.

The Ford was totaled and was towed away from the scene.
