News: Pickup truck driver killed in high-speed Clay County wreck

CLAY COUNTY, MO – Authorities in Clay County are investigating a fatal pickup truck accident that occurred early Thursday morning, according to KSHB.

 

Police said a man was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck in the vicinity of N.E. 128th Street and Jesse James Farm Road at about 3:30 a.m.

 

As the man drove at a high rate of speed, the pickup overturned multiple times and the driver was ejected.  The victim, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.  No other vehicles were involved.

 

Investigators said he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
