KANSAS CITY, MO – An accident involving a pickup truck in Kansas City last week left a driver dead, according to police.
KCTV reports the crash happened at an apartment complex on East 61st Terrace Friday night at about 8:38 p.m. Investigators determined that the driver of a Ford F-150 was partially inside the pickup in the parking lot, with the vehicle left in drive.
The truck then accelerated out of the parking space and went into a line of trees. The driver was pinned between a tree and the door of the pickup.
The driver, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
